Andi Achdian is an assistant-professor at Program Studi Sosiologi, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Nasional, where he has been a faculty member since 2017. His research interests is in the area of urban politics and anti colonial movement the twentieth century in Indonesia. He is also a managing editor of Jurnal Sejarah, an official publication of Masyarakat Sejarwaan Indonesia (MSI).

Abidin Kusno is Professor at Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change at York University in Toronto where he also serves as director of York Centre for Asian Research. His academic work draws upon a range of fields including architecture, urban history, politics, and cultural studies. He wrote After the New Oder (Hawaii University Press, 2013); The Appearances of Memory (Duke University Press, 2010); Behind the Postcolonial (Routledge, 2000).

Farabi Fakih is a lecturer at the History Department, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. His main research interests are on the history of Indonesian state decolonization, urban and business history. He is currently working on a project on knowledge decolonization with Leiden and Amsterdam University looking at the decolonization of business and the firm in Indonesia’s petroleum industry. His book titled Authoritarian Modernization in Indonesia’s Early Independence Period has recently been published by Brill-KITLV.
